Multimedia Communications & Publishing
Multimedia communications is a system of
electronic business solutions that can cross-purpose content utilizing electronic publishing (e-publishing)
technologies such as: web sites, CDs/DVDs, PDFs, kiosks
or knowledge management systems (databases). A document
produced in PDF (portable document format) that is interactive (linked through the table of
contents and the bookmarks) can be published to the web or to a CD/DVD. Documents, slide shows,
and video incorporated into an interactive kiosk can be
cross-purposed on CD/DVD and the web. Database information can be generated on a web site. Cross-purposing is
what multimedia is all about.
