Edit a form template

Note  Editing the form template changes the form that is opened when users click Fill Out This Form. Changes to the form template will also be reflected in the existing forms stored in the form library, which may cause compatibility issues or data loss with these forms.

1. On the top link bar, click Documents and Lists.
2. On the Documents and Lists page, under Document Libraries, click the name of the form library you want to open.
3. On the page that displays the form library, under Actions, click Modify settings and columns.
4. On the Customize page, in the General Settings section, to the right of the Template location, click Edit Template. The form template will open in the program that was used to create it.
