Create, edit, or delete a cross-site group
Create a cross-site group
- On the Web site you want to manage, click Site Settings.
- In the Administration section, click Go to Site Administration.
- In the Users and Permissions section, click Manage cross-site groups.
- Click New Cross-site Group.
- Type a name and description for the group in the fields provided.
- In the Owner section, specify the owner of the cross-site group:
- If you want to own the group yourself, click Yourself.
- To allow other members of this site collection to add and remove users, click Allow members of this cross-site group to add and remove site users.
- To specify another user as the owner of this cross-site group, click Someone else and then click the Select button to choose an owner from the Select Owner window that appears.
- Click Create.
Edit a cross-site group
- On the Web site you want to manage, click Site Settings.
- In the Administration section, click Go to Site Administration.
- In the Users and Permissions section, click Manage cross-site groups.
- Click the name of the cross-site group that you want to edit.
- Click Change Cross-site Group Settings.
- Type the desired name and description for the group in the fields provided.
- In the Owner section, specify the owner of the cross-site group:
- If you want to own the group yourself, click Yourself.
- To allow other members of this site collection to add and remove users, click Allow members of this cross-site group to add and remove site users.
- To specify another user as the owner of this cross-site group, click Someone else and then click the Select button to choose an owner from the Select Owner window that appears.
- Click Create.
Delete a cross-site group
- On the Web site you want to manage, click Site Settings.
- In the Administration section, click Go to Site Administration.
- In the Users and Permissions section, click Manage cross-site groups.
- Click checkbox that corresponds to the name of the cross-site group that you want to delete and then click Delete Selected Cross-site Groups.
- Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the group, or click Cancel to cancel the deletion.
