Create, edit, or delete a cross-site group

Create a cross-site group

  1. On the Web site you want to manage, click Site Settings.
  2. In the Administration section, click Go to Site Administration.
  3. In the Users and Permissions section, click Manage cross-site groups.
  4. Click New Cross-site Group.
  5. Type a name and description for the group in the fields provided.
  6. In the Owner section, specify the owner of the cross-site group:
    • If you want to own the group yourself, click Yourself.
    • To allow other members of this site collection to add and remove users, click Allow members of this cross-site group to add and remove site users.
    • To specify another user as the owner of this cross-site group, click Someone else and then click the Select button to choose an owner from the Select Owner window that appears.
  7. Click Create.

Edit a cross-site group

  1. On the Web site you want to manage, click Site Settings.
  2. In the Administration section, click Go to Site Administration.
  3. In the Users and Permissions section, click Manage cross-site groups.
  4. Click the name of the cross-site group that you want to edit.
  5. Click Change Cross-site Group Settings.
  6. Type the desired name and description for the group in the fields provided.
  7. In the Owner section, specify the owner of the cross-site group:
    • If you want to own the group yourself, click Yourself.
    • To allow other members of this site collection to add and remove users, click Allow members of this cross-site group to add and remove site users.
    • To specify another user as the owner of this cross-site group, click Someone else and then click the Select button to choose an owner from the Select Owner window that appears.
  8. Click Create.

Delete a cross-site group

  1. On the Web site you want to manage, click Site Settings.
  2. In the Administration section, click Go to Site Administration.
  3. In the Users and Permissions section, click Manage cross-site groups.
  4. Click checkbox that corresponds to the name of the cross-site group that you want to delete and then click Delete Selected Cross-site Groups.
  5. Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the group, or click Cancel to cancel the deletion.
