Enable or disable unique permissions for a subsite

1. On the Site Settings page of the subsite that you want to configure, in the Administration section, click Go to Site Administration.
2. On the Site Administration page, in the Users and Permissions section, click Manage permission inheritance.
3. In the Permissions area, specify whether or not you want the subsite to use the same account and site group information as the parent Web site.
4. Click OK.

Note  When you enable unique permissions, a copy of the parent Web site's user accounts and site groups remains with the subsite. You can then add and remove any accounts and site groups as needed. The subsite retains the same anonymous user settings as the parent Web site unless you change these settings.
