Switch Web Part Page views

Important   Be careful switching Web Part page views. The contents of the Web Part Page and the values of the Web Part properties are often different in each view. More importantly, the scope and effect of changes you make varies significantly in each view.

Switch to personal view

If you are in shared view and you want to switch to personal view:

• On the Web Part Page menu, click Modify Shared Page, and then select Personal View.

All subsequent changes that you make to Web Part properties and any Web Parts you add or remove will apply only to you.

Switch to shared view

If you are in personal view and you want to switch to shared view:

• On the Web Part Page menu, click Modify My Page, and then select Shared View.

All subsequent changes that you make to Web Parts on the page will be applied to all users sharing that page and apply to those users if they have not personalized the Web Parts.
